TeachAAPI Spotlight: JTD's Own Hayley Roberts

Hayley Roberts, Director of Teaching and Learning at The John Thomas Dye School, has been recognized as a 2024 Educator Honoree by TeachAAPI for her exceptional commitment to advancing education and her advocacy for inclusive, culturally responsive teaching. With more than 25 years of experience in various educational roles—ranging from administrator and curriculum developer to instructional coach and teacher—Hayley has continually demonstrated her dedication to fostering equitable learning environments.
TeachAAPI, which works to promote Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) history and culture in school curriculums, has recognized Hayley for her tireless efforts to help create more inclusive classrooms. Through her leadership, Hayley is not only impacting our school community, but also inspiring educators nationwide to embrace more culturally relevant teaching methods.

In her role at JTD, Hayley remains a passionate advocate for innovative teaching practices that prioritize both student engagement and educator professional development. She has been particularly influential in supporting the integration of TeachAAPI’s curriculum, ensuring that students and teachers alike benefit from more diverse and inclusive educational content.
