Updating our Campus for the Future

JTD continues to stay true to our founders’ purpose while also staying relevant in today’s world.
Our Campus Upgrade reflects our commitment to continuous improvement — a driving force behind our strategic planning process where we identified ways to enhance our spaces to deliver on our priorities.

Watch to learn more about our plan.
Addressing our Core Needs
While staying within the same footprint of our current campus, we thoughtfully identified areas that could be strategically upgraded to meet our needs today and in the future.
The Plan
The updates we are proposing represent an organic evolution to our current campus.
  • Upgraded, two-story East and West wing buildings for expanded classrooms
  • New and upgraded music and art spaces
  • Minor interior update of the existing John Dye Hall due to new code requirements
  • New play and shade structure
  • Permanent shade structure over existing lunch patio
  • Modified internal driveway
Supporting our Teachers
We balanced a strong desire to stay true to our beloved campus while also creating modern spaces that allow our outstanding educators to do their best work and optimally support student learning.
The Process
We were thrilled to submit our application to the City of Los Angeles in October 2024, which officially kicked off the approval process.

We are fully committed to a transparent and inclusive process and look forward to sharing timely updates with our neighbors and the broader community.
